Requirements:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or other technical degree.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience with ML infrastructure.
• 4+ years of relevant software engineering work experience.
• 2+ years of experience managing software and science teams including senior ICs.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale machine learning systems with feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Comfortable managing infrastructure development in collaboration with scientists and researchers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage teams of engineers building ML infrastructure to scale our hybrid cloud-edge AI products.
• Help drive long-term planning and establish scalable processes for execution.
• Actively contribute to building the roadmap for AI at Samsara.
• Stay connected to industry and academic research and adopt novel technology that suits Samsara’s needs.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s Values as we scale globally and across new offices.
• Hire, develop, and manage an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
