Requirements:

Has an AA or certification in medical billing with experience in mental health or medical billing.
Is organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in their work.
Is a problem solver with a strong work ethic.
Proficient with computers and knowledgeable of HIPAA.
Experience with TherapyNotes, Simple Practice, or another EHR program.
Accepts correction and training well while maintaining integrity.

Responsibilities:

Collect clients' insurance information for billing purposes.
Review and submit insurance claims.
Post insurance payments and ensure accurate client account information.
Update client records with new transactions and details.
Process client payments and resolve any discrepancies.
Directly interact with clients about inquiries and provide billing statements.
Investigate and resolve billing issues by communicating with insurance companies or clients.
Uphold the organization's values and adhere to policies and procedures.
