Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Contracts Management, with at least 7 years in Government Contracting.
  • Highly proficient and expert knowledge of US Government Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic to meet deadlines with high quality.
  • Good persuasive skills to maintain positive relationships.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, terms and conditions, and the negotiation process.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing large-scale contracts with government agencies.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with contract management software and MS Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide government contractual expertise and leadership.
  • Lead the preparation, negotiation, and administration of all contracts and ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with the Government Contracting Officer or Prime Contractor.
  • Negotiate NDAs and TAs; conduct OCI screenings.
  • Participate in the development and review of proposals.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation approaches.
  • Interpret contract terms and communicate and/or mitigate subsequent issues.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance to ensure deliverables and milestones are met.
  • Work independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments.
  • Lead contract negotiations with government agencies, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts policies and US Government laws and regulations.
  • Interpret and enforce contract terms, resolving any issues related to scope, schedule, or cost.
  • Identify potential risks and work with management to develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Oversee the close-out process for completed contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain contract-related documentation and reports.
  • Assist in audits and internal/external reviews.
