Billing Data Entry Specialist

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of administrative, data entry, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
• Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably NexTech or Athena.
• Preferred: experience with clinical data entry, familiarity with Salesforce, knowledge of billing or coding processes.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all necessary encounters for various practices, ensuring accurate data entry in EHR systems.
• Manage the referral process for optometrists by entering referrals from the EHR into Salesforce.
• Perform benefits verification prior to sending information to the Enrollment Manager.
• Address out-of-pocket cost ticket requests generated by the Customer Care team.
• Respond to eligibility-related questions from the Enrollment Team using EHR data.
