Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science & Technology Studies, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or related fields preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience collaborating with state agencies, regulatory bodies, and city governments.
  • 5+ years shaping or informing technology policy at the state or local level.
  • Excellent written, analytical, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Expertise in emerging fields of public interest technology.
  • 2+ years in collaboration with academic researchers preferred.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills preferred.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Canva, Zoom.
Responsibilities:
  • Builds and stewards a vibrant community of practice to foster peer-learning and trust-building among PTLC members.
  • Designs and leads a match-making program to connect community members based on interests and policy questions.
  • Plans and hosts demand-driven pop-ups rooted in community needs to improve mutual understanding between stakeholders.
  • Supports coordination of bespoke working groups focused on specific time-bound questions and practical resource development.
  • Develops a suite of practical resources based on community needs to advance PTLC objectives.
  • Maintains a community engagement database to track needs and support various programs.
