Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in family engagement, community outreach, or related roles in educational or nonprofit settings; leadership experience preferred.
Strong understanding of family and community engagement practices/strategies in educational context.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to connect with diverse families and community members.
Proficiency in data analysis to measure program impact and inform decision-making.
Experience with program design, project management, and budgeting.
Bilingual skills preferred depending on community needs.
Cultural competence in respecting and understanding diverse cultures.
Ability to proactively identify challenges and develop solutions.
Collaborative with a variety of stakeholders, including families and district staff.
Passionate about empowering families and communities to enhance educational outcomes.
Must be comfortable with travel and non-traditional working hours.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement family engagement programs to increase family involvement in literacy and academic development.
Identify and foster community partnerships with organizations and stakeholders to benefit students and families.
Enhance communication channels between families, schools, and district leadership, ensuring families are informed and engaged.
Create and provide training programs and workshops for families and community members to support student reading achievement.
Gather, analyze, and report data related to family engagement initiatives to improve programs and demonstrate impact.
Advocate for inclusive policies and practices that celebrate diversity and support language accessibility.
Collaborate with school leaders to integrate family engagement strategies into daily operations.
Create resources that equip families to support their child's learning and navigate the school system.
Manage budgets for family and community engagement initiatives.
