Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of related work experience in payments, preferably at a Payment Network processor or financial institution.
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, and U.S. domestic networks.
• Understanding of Reg II (Durbin Amendment) and its impact on U.S. issuers.
• Ability to bridge gaps between business and technical teams regarding payment networks.
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex scenarios.
• Proven project management skills from both business and technical perspectives.
• Self-driven with a focus on accountability and delivery of high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills in interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written forms.
• Ability to travel occasionally, less than 10%.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage 2-3 card network partner relationships.
• Serve as a trusted ambassador of Marqeta, ensuring high regard from partners.
• Conduct regular meetings with partners to maintain smooth operations and compliance with contract terms.
• Act as the liaison and subject matter expert for network partnerships, aligning with internal teams on changes and expectations.
• Understand partner economics, including fees and interchange.
• Collaborate with the Data team to develop performance dashboards for partners.
• Engage with the Solutions team to review new customer use cases.
• Document network rules related to Marqeta's use cases and build a resource repository.
• Lead network-related training sessions for the organization.
• Create presentations and materials for executive management and partner meetings.
• Stay updated on payment industry trends and innovations.
