Intern - Machine Learning Scientist

Requirements:

• MS, or PhD in computer science or equivalent quantitative fields.
• 1+ year experience (previous internships or full-time) as ML Scientist; preferably, with hands-on experience building Deep Neural Networks.
• A strong academic background in both machine learning (PhD preferred) and software development.
• Proficient programming skills in at least one high-level programming language like Python/R/Scala.
• Experience with distributed computing (Spark) is preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience of working with live data (data cleaning, data visualization and modeling) is a plus.
• Demonstration of collaboration and teamwork.
• Clear documentation, and communication skills, especially to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Articulate and understand business problems, identify challenges, formulate them as Machine Learning or Generative AI problems, and provide/prototype solutions.
• Provide technical assistance to identify and understand key business challenges and opportunities; develop end-to-end software solutions using ML or Gen AI.
• Collaborate extensively with internal partners, program management, and engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet business needs, permit valid inferences and have functional feasibility.
• Collect and process large volumes of data.
• Communicate results in a comprehensible manner to all levels of the company.
• Brainstorm and collaborate with other team members.
