Requirements:

• Experience working directly with legislators and education advisors.
• Solid understanding of the legislative or policy development process within state education authorities.
• Ability to work across political parties and ideologies.
• At least a Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
• Residency in specific states.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead campaigns and coalitions in responsible states.
• Develop and update policy positions.
• Speak publicly at events and communicate the policy agenda to various audiences.
• Develop relationships with higher education institutions for K-12 computer science teacher pipelines.
• Coordinate policy-related events and maintain relationships in the computer science community.
• Create grassroots support and coordinate policies internally and with partners.
