Requirements:

• 7+ years of total engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Data Engineering leadership role.
• Experience solving similar engineering problems as an individual contributor.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Skilled written and verbal communicator for diverse audiences.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers.
• Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Responsibilities:

• Directly manage a team of Data and Software Engineers focused on data ingestion and processing.
• Mentor, train, and promote the professional growth of team members.
• Participate in code reviews and engage with the team's codebase.
• Report to the Director of Engineering and collaborate on large-scale projects.
• Work with Project Management to facilitate sprint rituals and ceremonies.
• Contribute to technical planning and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.
• Work with peer engineering managers to improve overall processes and culture.
