Sr Accounting Analyst

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of relative work experience.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
• Self-starter with ability to assess business goals and financial issues.
• High level of respect for corporate ethics and internal controls.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with analytical tools (Alteryx, Power BI, etc.).
• Proficient in handling large data sets and drawing conclusions.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various month end closing journal entries.
• Query and manipulate large data sets for management analysis.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.
• Assist in monthly results reviews and identify discrepancies.
• Represent accounting department in meetings with operations.
• Coordinate monthly expense accrual process.
• Document routine processes for improvements.
• Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley testing and propose enhancements.
• Identify areas for process improvement and automation.
• Assist with financial planning and forecasting.
