Accounting Manager / Sr Manager

Requirements:

• 8+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or associated field.
• CPA required.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of GAAP technical accounting literature.
• Experience analyzing complex transactions and identifying enhancements.
• Strong data management skills, including the ability to manipulate large data sets with SQL or PowerBI.
• Prior experience with FERC regulated accounting preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month end closing activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform primary reviews of monthly analyses and journal entries.
• Analyze new contracts for revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Prepare and review financial analysis of monthly revenues.
• Prepare revenue related pages for quarterly and annual FERC filings.
• Assist with technical accounting research and disclosures for SEC filings.
• Understand accounting for acquisitions and other transactions.
• Drive improvements in processes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
