Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
• Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, AAFCO, and food manufacturing regulations.
• 2-5+ years of Regulatory experience in the pet food sector.
• Expert knowledge of international markets is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational prowess.
• Ability to adapt to changes and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews product ingredients/formulas, claims, and labels for compliance.
• Maintains product registrations with applicable state authorities.
• Reviews marketing materials for compliance and claim substantiation.
• Creates product specifications and maintains product information files.
• Develops SOPs for regulatory compliance and manages supplier approval programs.
• Conducts audits of contract manufacturers and provides counsel on regulatory requirements.
• Monitors regulatory changes and supports international market compliance.
