Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law, ideally obtained a couple of years ago, with experience at a law firm.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate law with a focus on fintech, SaaS, or technology.
  • Expertise in M&A, intellectual property (IP), and patents, with practical experience in both the UK and the USA.
  • Strong technical understanding of IP data.
  • Demonstrated experience with data privacy laws, specifically GDPR and CCPA.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice on matters related to fintech regulations, SaaS agreements, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and intellectual property.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts including software licensing, service agreements, and partnership contracts.
  • Offer guidance on compliance with financial regulations, data protection laws, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Support corporate governance and establish internal policies aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Advise on and support M&A, strategic partnerships, and IP matters.
  • Collaborate with other legal experts on IP and patent matters.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings or negotiations as required.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting fintech and SaaS sectors.
  • Assist in developing and implementing internal compliance training programs.
