Senior Sales Engineer

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of total relevant experience with at least 6+ in GIS or remote sensing.
• Experience using GIS tools (i.e. ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine).
• Master's degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in a customer-facing role in the South Asian region, particularly the India market.
• Experience with application or script development in Python, Java, Javascript, or C#.
• Experience integrating with cloud platforms via REST APIs.
• Experience working with satellite remote sensing data.
• Fluent in Hindi.

Responsibilities:

• Build and deliver presentations and product demonstrations highlighting technical capabilities of Planet’s platform.
• Create relationships with customers’ technical and management staff as a trusted advisor to their business.
• Recommend solutions architecture to fit customer business challenges.
• Respond to tenders, RFI's, RFP's, proposals regarding product/solution information.
• Define the requirements and scope of work for non-standard services.
• Work with internal Sales teams to determine account development plans and engage customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales leaders and Customer Success.
• Achieve quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives.
• Interface with Sales Engineers globally to improve technical and sales skills.
• Collaborate with Professional Services Team to support Planet Services delivery.
