Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
• 5-10+ years of experience using modeling software (PSSE, PowerWorld, PSLF) with a preference for generator modeling experience.
• Experience with interconnection packages and short circuit studies using Aspen.
• Excellent understanding of inverter-based technology operations.
• Knowledge of MOD standards and PRC-024.
• Strong communication skills for leading discussions with various stakeholders.
• Ability to develop formal documentation and technical reports.
• Project management and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit generator models for new and existing renewable resources for interconnection requests and related requirements.
• Oversee consultant work for plant models using various software.
• Ensure models meet transmission planner expectations and technical standards.
• Gather data for model builds from various sources with minimal supervision.
• Verify generator models against technical specifications and properties.
• Track model upgrades for compliance with ISO and NERC standards.
• Guide projects under development to meet technical compliance.
• Train engineers on model development and validation processes.
