  • Four Year College degree or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills are needed, for both technical and non-technical communication.
  • Must be motivated to support AES's corporate compliance culture.
  • Knowledge of Generation and Transmission & Distribution circuitry and relaying is necessary.
  • Experience with NERC Reliability Standards is required.
  • Experience in implementing and/or maintaining a compliance program is also necessary.

  • Serves as the functional Leader with subject matter experts to develop and maintain written documentation of compliance plans, procedures, and evidence.
  • Prepares and maintains self-certifications for assigned NERC standards.
  • Provides strategic support regarding the financial and operational impact of NERC reliability standards.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities based on incident investigations and industry best practices.
  • Prepares and conducts training for the AES compliance program.
  • Validates adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participates in industry trade associations and groups relevant to NERC standards.
  • Leads regulatory audits and self-certifications.
  • Advises the NERC Compliance Officer on audit findings and potential self-reporting needs.
