Settlement Analyst - Battery Storage

Requirements:

• Minimum BA/BS in a quantitative discipline; Computer Science preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of applicable work experience in the energy sector.
• Power settlement experience strongly preferred; ERCOT experience a plus.
• Familiarity with battery energy storage system preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to explain complex technical analysis simply.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross-functional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Excel with Python, SQL, and PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with trading counterparties and RTOs/ISOs to validate and resolve discrepancies in settlement invoices.
• Prepare Power settlements checkout.
• Perform daily independent validation/shadow settlements and verify all RTOs/ISOs/Counterparty settlement amounts.
• Ensure all physical trades with counterparties are captured and perform checkouts with counterparties prior to scheduling.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly settlement of physical and financial trading activities.
• Check physical and derivatives confirmations and communicate disparities to commercial teams.
• Provide training and support regarding Plus Power's processes and procedures.
