General Ledger Accountant

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Ideal - CPA certification or progress towards.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Experience with online banking and credit card management platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the general ledger for timely and GAAP-compliant entries.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Reconcile daily banking and oversee corporate credit card expenses.
• Process accounts payable invoices and monitor AP aging statements.
• Handle bi-weekly payroll journal entries and manage payroll accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements for banks and investors, including tax forms.
• Monitor fixed assets lifecycle and manage special financial projects.
