Requirements:

• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Previous roles in internal or external audit, GL accounting, and/or revenue accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA is a plus.
• Experience in designing SOX controls for financial and operational processes.
• Experience in creating reconciliation procedures and new systems implementation.
• Technical knowledge of loan accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts including accrual entries and debits and credits.
• Ability to work independently.
• Passion for the fintech industry and strong interest in technology.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with engineering and product teams to build scalable revenue recognition and reconciliation processes.
• Review loan revenue recognition processes/procedures and implement improvements.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Manage automation processes for accounting systems.
• Prepare standalone financial statements, Call Report, and support 10Q/10K reporting.
• Interface with technical accounting and audit teams.
• Continuously improve business processes and enhance documentation for SOX compliance.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Document product and process flows.
• Complete special projects as needed.
