Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as an IBM DB2 Database Administrator.
• Programming experience using shell scripts.
• Active Security+ certification preferred.
• Preferred experience in a federal government agency environment.
• Previous leadership experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and secure DB2 databases.
• Perform maintenance of application configuration files and kernel parameters.
• Automate system deployments and integrations with pipelines.
• Secure database environments according to NIST and DHA standards.
• Assist with training and presentations on I.T. applications and government policies.
• Create reliable backups and restoration processes for applications.
• Execute archive and data retention tasks.
• Test and install all IAVA compliance items.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolution of database issues.
