Tax Technology Lead

Requirements:

• Experience in a corporate tax or business systems department or public accounting.
• Experience with US and international indirect taxes.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex O Series.
• Understanding of ERP solutions such as Oracle and Netsuite.
• Expertise in data extraction and interpreting logs from tax engines.
• Ability to manage issues with SaaS providers like Vertex.
• Excellent analytical skills to analyze complex tax issues.
• Effective communication with business leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining tax engines like Vertex and Avalara.
• Identifying tax technology risks and opportunities and developing solutions.
• Evaluating existing tax technology frameworks for improvements and automation.
• Collaborating with Financial Systems and Engineering for technical requirements.
• Training departments on tax technology matters.
• Participating in project lifecycle from design to delivery.
• Reviewing and monitoring internal controls to mitigate risks.
• Involved in state and local audit data extractions.
