• Experience in user research, testing, wireframes, user-flows, and prototyping.
• Knowledge of web and mobile-web technologies, with a focus on accessibility.
• Experience in Figma as a design and prototyping tool.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities:

• Craft user-centric solutions for Newsela’s platform (mobile, desktop, tablet).
• Work closely with product managers, researchers, data analysts, and engineers.
• Identify the right problems to tackle and explore ideas for solutions.
• Refine ideas into coherent solutions and design strategies.
• Shape the roadmap by understanding and advocating for user needs.
