Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in a mix of finance and accounting roles.
• Experience in a leadership accounting or financial role for a small, midsize, or startup company.
• Public or private accounting/consulting experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel and modeling skills, including pivots, lookups, complex formulas, and macro capability.
• Strong accounting and finance knowledge covering month/year-end close, general ledger, financial systems, and financial reporting.
• Experience in private equity and/or mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
• MBA, dual degree in finance, CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
• Ability to learn new software programs quickly.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with team members to meet client stakeholder needs.
• Perform all accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, cash flow forecasting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections.
• Recommend and implement process improvements by streamlining, automating, or reconfiguring existing processes and software.
• Demonstrate Executive Function capability with strategic thinking and the ability to simplify complex issues.
• Assist in the creation of C-Suite slide decks and participate in client meetings.
• Support companies at various stages such as start-ups, growth, scaling, and selling.
• Utilize MS Excel and various software to fulfill accounting and finance duties.
• Occasional travel to client sites in the Tampa Bay Area.
