- Bachelor’s degree in a business, scientific or healthcare discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 12 years or more experience in the CRO/pharmaceutical industry, including experience at Director level, with a proven track record in securing and winning new business.
- Ability to drive and availability for domestic and international travel including overnight stays.
- Preferred: 1-year corporate management experience, postgraduate qualification in a related discipline, and experience in oncology, rare disease, neurology, or CNS.
- Designing and implementing a sales plan focused on securing new and repeat business from current and prospective biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
- Spending time to identify leads, qualifying targeted sponsors in oncology, rare disease, neurology, and CNS, conducting meetings, securing RFPs, and working with the Business Operations/Proposal Team to create proposals.
- Strategically coordinating with the Leadership Team to leverage expertise in securing new business for the company.
- Representing the company at trade shows and client-sponsored events.
- Working closely with Marketing and other Leadership Team members to support sales efforts.
- Maintaining relationships with partner organizations, including data management companies and other CROs.
- Updating Salesforce and other metrics tracking software for reporting.
- Providing feedback on pricing, competitiveness, and market conditions.
- Maintaining contact with key Sponsor personnel to ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded.
