Requirements:

• PhD or equivalent R&D expertise in metallurgical engineering, material sciences, process design, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge of metals processing technologies including smelting, electric arc furnaces, and electrolysis.
• Experience in electrochemical and thermochemical cell design is advantageous.
• Broad understanding of steelmaking technologies and industry practices.
• Commercial knowledge and network within the steel industry.
• Experience in raising funds from investors and scaling high-growth enterprises.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the DSV team and the current Founder in Residence to co-found and spin-out a new company tackling zero emission steel production.
• Develop high-impact ventures from scratch with support from DSV.
• Utilize access to proprietary tools and resources in the venture creation process.
• Build the company post-launch by securing funding and forming partnerships.
