Staff Inventory Accountant (Mandarin Preferred)

Requirements:

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce or consumer goods, including concentrated experience with inventory accounting for a Chinese manufacturing operation.
• NetSuite experience preferred, similar ERP acceptable.
• Strong data management and analysis skills with Excel and BI tools/databases.
• Preference for dynamic, high-growth environments.
• A positive, solutions-oriented attitude is essential.
• Must hold an undergraduate or master’s degree in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the manufacturing team in both the US and China to track inventory and product cost.
• Evolve and manage inventory management reporting including inventory aging, stock reports, and component purchase tracking.
• Reconcile inventory accounts, POs, receipts, fulfillment, transfers regularly.
• Serve as the primary communication liaison between US and China-based teams.
• Conduct period close tasks related to assigned responsibilities including analyses, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Track production purchases and product costs, produce related analyses.
• Enter inventory management and supply chain transactions in NetSuite.
• Help implement processes and controls for improved accounting function.
• Create and record intercompany invoices and reconcile transactions.
• Participate in weekly calls with team members in China; schedule flexibility required.
• Assist with audits and other third-party requests.
• Work on various additional projects.
• Be available for international travel 1-2 times per year.
