Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Eight or more years of experience in platform engineering or developer experience tooling.
  • Five or more years of experience working with consumer-facing websites and technologies.
  • Three or more years of experience working with distributed systems.
  • Experience and understanding of CI/CD processes and tooling such as GitLab, Github, or Jenkins.
  • Experience and understanding of Go, Python, or Bash languages.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Experience enabling and troubleshooting containerized workloads in ECS, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in GCP or AWS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop the platform architecture, including infrastructure, networking, and software components.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend their use for platform features, enhancing system reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are optimized for deployment in an IAC environment.
  • Maintain automation and deployment processes to enhance developer experience and efficiency.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions for optimal platform performance and improvement identification.
  • Encourage developer autonomy through training and documentation for Platform products.
  • Promote a culture focused on building reliable systems and processes based on industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues.
  • Implement security and compliance measures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for internal developer services support.
