Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in risk management.
• Experience building a risk management function at a rapidly-growing startup.
• Marketplace company experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong executive presence and dynamic decision-making skills.
• Ability to formulate and execute strategic plans aligned with company objectives.
• Proven ability to present proposals backed with data.
• Prior management experience and experience building a team from the ground up.
• Bachelor’s degree and relevant licenses/qualifications in risk management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead HopSkipDrive’s insurance program and portfolio in line with business objectives and sound risk management.
• Own, analyze, and make recommendations to improve HopSkipDrive’s claims handling process.
• Work closely with leaders to manage strategic, financial, and operational risk.
• Develop overall risk management strategy and promote organization-wide understanding.
• Implement reporting process for senior leadership regarding risk-related issues and opportunities.
• Quantify risk for service offerings to guide product and service decisions.
• Perform management duties including hiring, training, and developing direct reports.
