Requirements:

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the bar in any of the United States or D.C. preferred.
• 6-10 years' experience required, including law firm experience.
• Combined in-house legal experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments independently.
• Strong legal research, document drafting and writing skills.
• Excellent analytical and business judgment.
• Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice, guidance, and support on corporate transactions.
• Structure, negotiate, and memorialize debt and equity financings.
• Maintain best practices in corporate governance.
• Support the company's compliance program administration.
• Research and evaluate risk factors in business operations and decisions.
• Coordinate legal and regulatory aspects of loan origination.
• Support default management and related litigation.
• Develop and monitor policies for the Legal department.
• Manage and oversee outside counsel.
• Handle other projects and duties as assigned.
