Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Requirements:

• Experience working asynchronously in a remote distributed team.
• Collaborative approach with product engineering and other stakeholders.
• Expertise in OSI model, networking protocols (TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, etc.), VPNs, IPv4 and IPv6.
• Experience with proxies, load balancers, and related tools (nginx, Istio, Envoy, AWS and Azure Load Balancer, transit gateways, Route 53, Calico).
• Ability to write and understand scripts in Python, Go, or Bash with Terraform for IaC.
• Experience with multiple public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Terraform is a plus.
• Kubernetes networking experience and experience defining SLAs and metric collection for developed network products will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Help operate and monitor the network with the SRE team, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
• Design and improve resilient network architecture for future expansion.
• Review network requirements of developer teams and provide expertise.
• Configure and manage Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), routing, and network security services.
• Automate standard operational tasks to improve performance and reliability.
• Develop solutions for secure client connections to dbt Cloud, enhancing PrivateLink offerings.
• Improve documentation for network configurations and processes.
