Requirements:
  • 5 years minimum work experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., sales/BD, account management, project management, consulting), with at least 3 years in the utility, DER, renewable project development, and/or energy markets sector.
  • Entrepreneurial experience with the ability to work self-sufficiently and flexibly.
  • Utility program management and/or energy markets expertise.
  • Demonstrated external stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in presentations and overseeing software product implementation.
  • Incredible self-motivation and organizational skills.
  • Based in the West US and willing to travel periodically for customer meetings or business development opportunities.
  • Ability to travel to London periodically for team building.
Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and prepare business for rapid growth in the western US.
  • Lead new business development with utilities in the region.
  • Manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with key utility customer accounts in the Northeast.
  • Build market liquidity from Flex Service Providers (FSPs) and DER operators.
  • Advise utility staff on DER market approach and guide implementation best practices.
  • Ensure timely delivery of software product and influence product roadmap.
  • Grow Piclo's presence at events, trade associations, and industry happenings.
  • Contribute to Piclo's thought leadership in the US energy and DER sector.
