Requirements:

• Background in B2B/B2C marketplace or e-commerce environments.
• 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.
• Experience with big data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark) and Interactive Computing Environments (e.g. DeepNote, Jupyter Notebooks, Google Colab).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven track record of deploying and maintaining data science & machine learning algorithms that are widely used and adopted in business applications.
• Proven track record of ‘leading by example’ through collaboration, guidance, and mentoring of other data scientists & or analysts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Be the thought leader for elucidating and demonstrating the business opportunities that can be solved with applying advanced Data Science models to ezCater’s business.
• Coach and mentor technical analysts and other data scientists in applying models; establish best practices and standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of advanced statistical and data science models across ezCater’s growing business.
• Be the advisor and subject matter expert for structural design of data, analysis, experiments, statistical modeling, and data science application.
• Advance innovation and improvements to the analytics techniques, approaches, and processes used across the company.
• Set the technical direction and standards for coding and designing models across ezCater’s business.
• Use advanced statistical techniques such as Bayesian and causal inference to analyze large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop, apply, and optimize models using cutting-edge techniques in data science and optimization to address complex business challenges.
• Design, implement, and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of different product changes and features on user engagement, retention, and conversion rates.
• Develop predictive models to forecast user behavior, identify trends, and anticipate customer needs, contributing to data-driven decision-making in product development.
• Partner with our ML team to integrate customer-centric data science models and algorithms into the customer experience in the most valuable and effective manner.
• Explore new data sources, techniques, and technologies to enhance the data science capabilities and contribute to innovation within the product development process.
• Work closely with other data scientists, analysts, engineering, product, and business teams to understand their needs and deliver data-science powered solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and relevant industry trends.
