Requirements:
  • Exceptional financial skills and experience leading teams in large-scale growth companies.
  • Strong industry expertise and network within Web3, media, technology and consumer products and services a major plus.
  • Solid cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to build consensus among teams (executive leadership, product, engineering, marketing, business development).
  • Excellent strategic presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify strategic concerns quickly and drive internal stakeholders to a consensus.
  • Strong analytical skills to help evaluate and optimize business performance tying them to company OKR’s.
  • Excellent contract negotiation skills, ability to manage deals independently.
  • MBA or CPA highly desired; or demonstrated 5+ years of experience managing all financial functions of a growth stage company.
  • Experience working for a music publisher or music label strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of Finance and Operations experience.
  • Strategy and business model development background (preferred).
  • Banking, management consulting or Big 4 accounting background experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes.
  • Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation.
  • Partner with the CEO and CFO to support corporate finance activities, including venture capital fundraising.
  • Oversee and ensure regular financial reporting (e.g. preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements), forecasts, planning, financial modeling, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and procurement.
  • Oversee development, oversight, and management of the organization’s capital plan.
  • Lead and manage the budgeting process.
  • Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports.
  • Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes.
  • Manage and supervise all AR/AP cycles with external partners and customers - including the implementation of accounting and billing systems and controls.
  • Support the CEO on Equity administration and planning.
  • Keep careful tabs on regular transactions, investments and any business deals that affect the bottom line.
  • Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets and liabilities.
