Senior Manufacturing Accountant - Cost Accountant

Requirements:

• Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player.
• Strong MS Office experience and proficiency with developing and using spreadsheets and/or databases.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Above-average communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take ownership of assigned projects.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Ability to identify improvement areas and drive automation in accounting processes.
• Prior experience managing accounting activities for multiple sites.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP as it applies to a manufacturing environment is required.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, month-end work papers, and other month-end duties as assigned.
• Analyze Profit Margins and Manufacturing Costs.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
• Analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer, part number, and production jobs.
• Analysis of PPV and Cost Variance.
• Study and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.
• Assist in training of junior accounting team members.
• Assist with annual financial audit.
• Preparation of Ad hoc Reporting as requested by Plant Operations Management.
• Act as backup for accounts payable team.
• Other duties as assigned.
