Requirements:
  • A formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural / HGV mechanics or a related discipline (i.e., NVQ 3/C&G).
  • Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant with proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electrics.
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and EATS.
  • Effective communication abilities with colleagues, management, and customers.
  • Cost-conscious mindset to ensure maximum profitability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high-level diagnostic capabilities.
  • Confidence in using computer systems and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work.
  • Responsible, reliable, honest, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to understand technical literature and systems.
  • Desirable: Experience in Welding and Fabrication.
Responsibilities:
  • Service and repair Dynapac and Volvo road construction equipment or other miscellaneous equipment.
  • Identify mechanical problems using technical knowledge and computerized diagnostic equipment, providing guidance to customers.
  • Work commercially to seek additional service revenue and promote aftermarket solutions.
  • Follow quotations and time guides, highlighting additional work to management.
  • Ensure installation of software updates as new versions are released.
  • Complete tablet inputs, electronic reports, and timesheets in real-time with comprehensive details of work done.
  • Order necessary parts and return them clean after job completion.
  • Be available for overtime and reasonable call-out requests.
  • Attend relevant product or systems training courses.
