Knit Picks sells everything a knitter could want including yarn, books, patterns, swifts, ball winders, needles and accessories. WeCrochet , was launched in the fall of 2019 and serves the crochet community with the same attention and expertise provided to our other brand customers. All of our products ship from our large distribution center in Columbus, OH. Handi Quilter is the worldwide leader and quilter's choice in both stand-up and sit-down long arm quilting machines and accessories. In 2010, Handi Quilter became the only long arm quilting machine company to achieve worldwide safety and electrical certificates for our quilting machines and systems, enabling HQ to expand to more than 900 worldwide independent retail locations across 55 countries.   • B.S. in Finance or Accounting, Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP accounting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling with budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial reporting software and Power BI; ERP experience, especially with NetSuite, preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • An agile self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Own and maintain the company’s comprehensive 3-statement budget and forecasting model, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow assumptions for each brand in the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to assist in the monthly close process through detailed budget-to-actual reporting and variance analysis across multiple brands.
  • Define and monitor operational KPIs at both the brand and portfolio levels. Build and automate reporting dashboards using Power BI to provide real-time insights.
  • Partner with teams in marketing, merchandising, and operations to deliver data-driven insights influencing company and brand strategies.
  • Prepare high-visibility reporting packages for the executive team and board, supporting strategic planning and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance metrics for retail and e-commerce channels, providing insights into product profitability and margin optimization.
  • Conduct financial analyses to identify opportunities for brand synergies.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses for new initiatives ensuring alignment with financial goals.
