🔍 Medical professional liability insurance
- A 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional liability underwriting experience with a history of increasing responsibility.
- Desired knowledge of hospital/facility or other non-medical lines such as Directors and Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber Liability, or General Liability.
- CPCU and/or RPLU designation is a plus.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and insurance policies.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to provide concise reports.
- Demonstrated negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective presentations.
- Performs technical underwriting for complex renewal and new business accounts, including claims history analysis and reviewing exposure information.
- Makes and communicates approval or denial decisions and drafts endorsements.
- Provides policy services, including correspondence with members and brokers and drafting policy documents.
- Maintains knowledge of underwriting guidelines and competitors’ policies to suggest modifications.
- Develops relationships with broker partners and organizes renewal and onboarding meetings.
- Attends conferences to represent the company and collaborates with internal departments.
