Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a technology leadership role supporting legal, risk & compliance functions.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Ability to design and influence engineering direction.
  • Fluency in at least two modern programming languages such as GO, Java, Python, and/or Spark.
  • Experience architecting custom and third-party solutions.
  • Ability to partner with engineering teams for production transitions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in legal technology domains like eDiscovery, document management, or legal workflow automation is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership in improving legal systems aligned to GEICO’s strategy.
  • Principal lead for architecture reviews of core people technologies and services.
  • Build and maintain a technical roadmap aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Lead the full SDLC including research, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Present technology recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to maintain production systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers to foster development and growth.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology adoption.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and community practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for strategic recommendations.
