Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of inventory accounting experience within an eCommerce or CPG business is required; start-up/high growth experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory accounting in domestic markets; international market experience is a plus.
  • CPA or working toward CPA designation preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 3 days per quarter, for cycle counts.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, such as Quickbooks and MS Dynamics.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to manipulate, digest, and summarize large amounts of data.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adhere to tight deadlines, and unafraid to ask questions.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the operations teams to ensure all 3 PL transactions are entered and reconciled in our internal systems, including Quickbooks and MS Dynamics.
  • Review and compare inventory records, shipment details, and financial transactions between the 3PL reports and the accounting records.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of data between the company's third-party logistics providers' systems and our internal accounting systems.
  • Identify and investigate any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the data, working closely with relevant teams and departments to resolve issues.
  • Reconcile all revenue and non-revenue entries to the source on a regular basis (Reconcile to Salesforce, Shopify, Magento etc.).
  • Assist with quarterly and annual Inventory counts, including investigating count variances and resolving issues.
  • Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes.
