Requirements:

• Engineering Technologist degree or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a technologist role with a proven track record of leading projects.
• Proficiency in appropriate design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Sketchup).
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passive Building knowledge is a nice-to-have.
• BIM knowledge is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities:

• Lead construction projects from concept to completion.
• Manage end-to-end logistics, including planning, coordination, and execution of projects and materials.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Design mechanical and structural components and systems using design software.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, engineering standards and regulations.
• Oversee the fabrication and testing of prototypes.
• Analyze test results and implement design improvements.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Ensure all designs meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
• Support the production team with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Utilize design software to create detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design standards and safety regulations.
• Engage with trades and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.
