Requirements:
10+ years previous experience in investment banking, strategic advisory, or consulting roles working with insurance and reinsurance companies.
Extensive network within (re)insurance company executives.
In-depth knowledge of insurance industry, familiarity with insurance linked securities or structured finance products is a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to sell new financial products to c-suite executives.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely.
Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, including excel modeling.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other graduate degree is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Leads business development with (re)insurance companies to source ILS transactions.
Owns the transaction process from the initial pitch to the risk originator to winning the deal including financial modeling, presentations, and due diligence.
Accountable for deal execution including investor marketing, due diligence, and negotiations leading to transaction closing.
Provides feedback to product teams developing platform features for (re)insurance companies.
