Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a like-for-like or similar role.
• Full understanding of BS5839 Part 1.
• Comprehensive understanding of causes and remedies for fire alarm problems.
• Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
• Manufacturers training on required equipment (e.g., VESDA, Radio, Fire Suppression).
• Knowledge of standards BS7671, BS5839 Part 1, BS6266 (if involved in installation work).
• Preferred knowledge of Siemens and Gent analogue Fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities:

• Service fire and associated systems in line with current regulations.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure best practices and cost-effective solutions.
• Complete and return documentation to comply with the Company’s ISO 9001 procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the Service Manager to enhance the Company’s reputation.
• Carry out scheduled routine servicing and other necessary works at customer premises efficiently.
• Support the out of hours service, communicate with customers regarding systems and defects.
• Plan work, ensuring timely completion of paperwork and effective management of equipment stock.
• Operate in accordance with client requirements and health and safety standards.
