Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field or outstanding professional experience in machine learning engineering.
• Over 5 years of industry experience in machine learning, with a proven track record in developing ML-driven products at scale.
• Experience building recommender systems, preferably in the e-commerce space.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Understanding of ML system design in production, performance evaluation, and cost/performance trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data systems, advanced data models, and data pipelines.
• Adaptability to technology stack including GCP, Kubernetes, Airflow, Pandas, PyTorch, Python, and Node.js.
• Experience in model deployment strategies using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and oversee the development of Wizard’s recommender system.
• Develop a product ranking model that incorporates customer profiles and dialog context.
• Balance exploration and optimization to improve long-term conversion rates.
• Translate customer needs and business requirements into a long-term vision for recommendations and personalization.
• Act as a thought leader and integrate advancements in Generative AI technologies.
