Director, Engineering and Operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure, software development, or related technology roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Proven track record in managing AWS-hosted infrastructure and leading engineering and operations teams.
• Certifications in AWS or other cloud providers are highly desirable.
• Strong technical background in AWS services, cloud architecture, and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git version control, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), scripting, automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and observability best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of a strategic technology infrastructure plan while being technically hands-on when necessary.
• Directly build and manage a small team of infrastructure engineers and operations staff, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage AWS infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security; implement disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Implement innovative cloud solutions and drive optimizations for cost efficiency, system scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with other departments to address their technology needs and ensure seamless integration of infrastructure services with business processes.
