Backend Engineer - Python

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience in Python; knowledge of Go and/or Ruby is a plus.
• Experience building consumer-facing applications in a SaaS or product-based company.
• Specialization in back-end development.
• Familiarity with contemporary frameworks, build tools, and testing tools.
• Interest in building scalable and performant applications.

Responsibilities:

• Build and ship production-grade software using Python, Go, Ruby, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Azure Cloud, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Set technical direction and define the technical approach for team tasks.
• Work closely with product and engineering management on product roadmap.
• Collaborate with go-to-market teams to launch new functionalities.
• Grow as a leader within the team and mentor new members.
• Participate in tech talks and guilds to share ideas and strategies.
