Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in the area including privacy law, e.g. GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD, preferably in an international SaaS (B2B/B2C) environment.
  • A Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to advise product and engineering teams from ideation to launch, balancing legal risk with business needs.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multi-jurisdictional, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and structured approach to legal challenges.
Responsibilities:
  • Acting as the main legal point of contact for designated Product Areas, advising on legal and privacy risks, compliance strategies, and supplier engagements.
  • Leading privacy-by-design initiatives, ensuring compliance throughout the product lifecycle, and managing related legal documentation.
  • Managing and owning parts of data privacy compliance, including documentation such as DPAs, DPIAs, LIAs, privacy policies, and privacy notices.
  • Supporting or leading privacy negotiations with customers and suppliers, as well as engaging with regulatory authorities.
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing legislation, policies, public policy decisions, and legal frameworks relevant to Veriff.
  • Keeping up with global privacy regulations and data protection developments and advising on their impact.
  • Developing and delivering trainings, training materials, guidelines, policies, and blog posts for internal and external use.
  • Managing outside counsel engagement for their work.
  • Leading cross-functional legal projects, mentoring junior colleagues.
