Requirements:
  • Possess native-level French skills with excellent grammatical, written, and editorial capabilities, and have an excellent command of English.
  • Have 3+ years of experience in translation and localization, with at least 2 years working on product/UX-related content.
  • Have a deep understanding of French culture and market preferences, enabling you to adapt content that resonates authentically while preserving the intended message.
  • Have demonstrable experience in localization tools and best practices with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Have strong communication skills and good time management, with the ability to meet deadlines (sometimes at short notice).
  • Be set up as a freelancer where you live and able to invoice us monthly for the hours you’ve worked.

Responsibilities:
  • Localize and adapt UX and product content from English into French, including in-app copy, web content, onboarding flows, notifications, support articles, etc.
  • Ensure that the localized content aligns with the tone, style, and brand voice guidelines to create a seamless user experience for our French-speaking community.
  • Provide linguistic feedback on designs to ensure clarity, conciseness, and cultural relevance for the French market.
  • Edit and proofread French marketing content to maintain consistency and quality across all platforms.
  • Support terminology management and maintain a localized glossary to ensure consistency in all product communications.
