Senior Backend Engineer - Map Data

Requirements:

• 6+ years of software engineering industry experience with a high level programming language (Go and/or Python).
• BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or relevant work experience.
• Experience defining API schemas and developing backend services in a microservices environment.
• Experience working with databases, relational or NoSQL.
• Experience writing clear and scalable design documentation.
• Experience designing, building and improving team-owned components.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure).
• Nice-to-have: experience productionizing and maintaining ML models.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for design, development, deployment, monitoring, operation and maintenance of new data collection capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the team.
• Act as a mentor to other developers.
• Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotations and support incident resolutions.
• Analyze internal systems and processes for improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers and other teams to build complex features.
