Head of Business Development (Drug Manufacturing)

Requirements:

• BS or advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutics, or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in directly managing sales teams and complex accounts
• Proven experience selling pharmaceutical CDMO services
• Direct API and commercial product manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry including quality control testing, development and manufacturing of drug products, FDA regulations

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement comprehensive sales plans
• Hire, train, and motivate sales teams
• Regularly monitor sales activity, analyze sales data, and provide feedback to sales staff to identify areas for improvement.
• Set clear sales goals for the team and individual field sales staff
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to sales staff
• Manage key customer accounts
• Oversee the sales pipeline and provide periodic sales forecasts
• Manage the sales budget
• Generate sales reports, analyze data trends, and present insights to senior management
